Glapion’s older brother, Robert Fisher III, was shot and killed Friday night just after 8 p.m. He was with a group of family members mourning the loss of his uncle. Glapion says they were leaving a when when the suspect…

“Just pulled up, we are getting out of the way, BOW! There go guns, why? We don’t know ya’ll, ya’ll don’t know us,” said Glapion.

“There was a Fisher3million of us out there, ain’t nobody arguing. Out of all those people out there you shot him, 8 times,” said Glapion.

New York real estate heir Robert Durst arrested in connection with Los Angeles cold case

(CNN) — New York real estate heir Robert Durst has been arrested in a 14-year-old slaying in Los Angeles, police said Sunday.

The 71-year-old millionaire was arrested without incident in New Orleans, where he had been staying at a hotel, Saturday night in connection with the 2000 slaying of his longtime friend, crime writer Susan Berman, Los Angeles police said.

Berman was was found shot to death in her home in Beverly Hills in December 2000.

Durst was jailed without bond in New Orleans on an outstanding warrant from Los Angeles County and was awaiting an extradition hearing Monday morning.

‘We will waive extradition and get to Los Angeles as soon as possible to answer the charges,” Durst’s attorney, Chip Lewis, said on Sunday.

A law enforcement official briefed on the arreset told CNN that authorities believed Durst was getting ready to flee the country. He was staying at JW Marriott hotel under a false name, paid for his room with cash and was carrying a fake driver’s license, the official said.

The Los Angeles County district attorney reopened the Berman homicide investigation last week. Police have never filed charges in the case, but have long suspected Durst was connected to the execution-style killing, according to a new HBO documentary titled “The Jinx.”

The arrest comes as the last episode of the “The Jinx,” a six-part series produced and directed by Andrew Jareck, is scheduled to air Sunday night. HBO is owned by CNN’s parent company, Time Warner.

The program details the death of Berman and explores whether Durst was connected to the disappearance of his young wife, Kathleen Durst, in 1982 and the killing of Berman. The documentary also explores investigators’ suspicions that Berman was killed because she knew what happened to Kathleen Durst.

The New York real estate mogul was charged in 2003 in the murder and dismemberment of a 71-year-old neighbor in Galveston, Texas, but was found not guilty of the charges. Durst claimed self-defense in the killing.

WAUKESHA (WITI) — Three people arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred at the Citgo gas station in Waukesha have pleaded not guilty.

20-year-old Kenneth Thomas, 28-year-old Darrin Malone and 23-year-old Jerica Cotton appeared in court on Wednesday, March 18th.

Kenneth Thomas, Jerica Cotton, Darrin Malone

Kenneth Thomas, Jerica Cotton, Darrin Malone

They are charged in connection with the January 13th shooting that killed 65-year-old gas station clerk Saeed Sharwani of Brookfield.

Thomas faces the following charges:

  • first degree intentional homicide
  • armed robbery (two counts)
  • felon in possesion of a firearm (two counts)
  • intentionally selling a dangerous weapon to a child
  • first degree recklessly endangering safety

Cotton and Malone are charged with felony murder.

Police arrested Thomas, a convicted felon, in West Allis less than 10 hours after the shooting. Cotton was also quickly apprehended. Darrin Malone, however, was on the run until February 23rd — more than a month after the shooting.

Saeed Sharwani was working at the gas station near Whiterock Avenue and Moreland Boulevard in Waukesha on January 13th when he was fatally shot during an armed robbery.

Investigators believe Thomas fired the shot that killed Sharwani.

Police say Malone went into the gas station on the night of the robbery/fatal shooting — following behind Thomas. Cotton, police say, was the getaway driver.

According to the criminal complaint, Malone supplied the masks that were used in the crime. Thomas told police “Malone was behind him (when they walked into the gas station) and that the clerk started freaking out and so did he. Thomas stated that the clerk ran out as he climbed over the counter. Thomas stated that the clerk then came around and grabbed him and the next thing he knew, the gun went off.” The complaint indicates that Malone asked Thomas “if he did it on purpose and Thomas said no.”

Thomas also told police he and Malone had committed several other robberies — including a liquor store, bank, a gas station and a store.

Malone was arrested at a residence in the 4000 block of North 48th Street in Milwaukee at approximately 2:30pm February 23rd. He was taken into custody without incident.

Police believe Thomas and his accomplices were involved in at least six robberies in four jurisdictions. Their crime spree touched the communities of West Allis, Milwaukee, the Town of Brookfield and the city of Waukesha.

Thomas and Cotton have court hearings scheduled for April 20th, and Malone is set to be in court on April 10th.

State trooper, bank robbery suspect shot & killed in exchange of gunfire

FOND DU LAC (WITI) — Fond du Lac police say a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper was shot and killed on Tuesday evening, March 24th as he was following a vehicle matching the description of a suspect vehicle connected to a bank robbery. The Wisconsin Professional Police Association has identified the State Trooper as Trevor Casper from Kiel, Wisconsin.

Late Tuesday, Marinette County Sheriff’s officials connected the suspect in the Fond du Lac shooting with a bank robbery in Wausaukee that occurred earlier Tuesday. Additionally, officials in Marinette believe the suspect may have shot and killed a man in his 60s after he fled from the bank. The bank robbery suspect was killed in Fond du Lac during an exchange of gunfire with the trooper.

This all began around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. That’s when the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a lone male had entered the State Bank of Florence in the Village of Wausaukee.

The man displayed a handgun and fired one round before robbing the bank of cash.

The suspect then fled the bank in a stolen bank employee’s vehicle.

Sheriff’s officials responded to the bank, and were then actively involved in looking for the suspect and the stolen vehicle.

Just after 2:30 p.m., another call came in to the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office regarding a male victim found along Jermac Road — just east of Wausaukee near a pickup truck that was still running. That man, believed to be in his 60s, was found to be deceased.

Officials searched the area and located the stolen vehicle taken from the bank.

Investigators believe the bank robbery suspect fled from that scene in another vehicle, and may have encountered the man in his 60s and shot him.

Eventually, the suspect and vehicle information was learned and relayed to law enforcement officials. It was soon learned that the suspect and vehicle were spotted in Fond du Lac by a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper. The suspect exchanged gunfire with the trooper — and both were killed.

The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 100 block of N. Berger Parkway in Fond du Lac.

Police say they are not searching for any additional suspects — and the public is not in danger.

” We extend our sincerest apologies to the trooper’s family, and the entire Wisconsin State Patrol family,” Fond du Lac Police Chief William Lamb said.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation — the agency that investigates officer-involved shooting incidents per a new state law is leading this investigation.

A DOJ spokeswoman issued a statement to FOX6 News late Tuesday. It reads as follows:

“The Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating several crimes that occurred (Tuesday) in Marinette County and in the city of Fond du Lac, including the shooting death of a Wisconsin State Trooper.

We cannot confirm at this time definitively how these crimes fit together but investigators are working to provide an accurate timeline of events. We do not believe there is any danger to the community nor that there are additional suspects at large.

We are releasing few details this evening, as the Department of Justice is working with law enforcement from Marinette County, the city of Fond du Lac, the FBI and the Wisconsin State Patrol, to determine what happened.

At 5:30 p.m., a Wisconsin State Trooper was following a suspect vehicle that matched the description of the bank robbery suspect. There was contact made and there was an exchange of gunfire during which the Trooper and the suspect were both killed.

Attorney General Brad Schimel: “We at the DOJ join the Wisconsin law enforcement community and all the citizens of the state in mourning the loss of the Wisconsin State Trooper who died in the line of duty trying to keep our citizens safe. I ask for your prayers for this officer and his family.”

Law enforcement officials were gathered in the 100 block of N. Berger Tuesday evening, and near a Pick ‘n Save store on Highway 41 at Highway 23 in Fond du Lac.

Tuesday’s death of a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper came as family members and loved ones marked the four-year anniversary of the shooting death of Fond du Lac police officer Craig Birkholz. Birkholz was killed during a six-hour standoff back in 2011. Another officer and his K9 were also shot, but they survived.

The 30-year-old shooter later turned the gun on himself.

RACINE COUNTY (WITI) — He seemingly confessed to the crime on Facebook — but in court on Wednesday, March 25th, 27-year-old Jacob Rogers pleaded not guilty in the murder of his roommate, 27-year-old Andrew Jones.

Jacob Rogers

Jacob Rogers

Rogers is charged with first degree intentional homicide, use of a dangerous weapon (repeater) and possession of a firearm by a felon (repeater).

Andrew Jones was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds early Monday morning, March 2nd inside the apartment he shared with Rogers — on 3 Mile Road at Erie Street in Racine.

When the investigation began, police learned the apartment was wired for video, and they soon learned this crime was caught on camera. Police say the video of the crime shows Rogers firing off a semi-automatic handgun at Jones, who was laying on a couch in the apartment. Rogers is seen firing off several rounds, walking away, and then turning around to return and fire more rounds into Jones.

Investigators believe Rogers shot Jones because he suspected Jones had stolen some of his money.

Soon, police began a manhunt for Jacob Rogers. This, as Rogers was posting on his very public Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon — seemingly confessing to the crime. Rogers wrote: “That’s the truth. I DID IT.” And he went on to seemingly explain why: “Stole money n threatened the wrong person. I’ll surrender when they find me.”

Rogers was taken into custody on Tuesday night, March 3rd near 21st and Kearney in Racine. Police say negotiators had been in contact with him, and they were able to arrange his peaceful surrender.

Rogers is set to stand trial in this case, and he’s due back in court on May 22nd for a pre-trial conference.

“My daughter’s death was senseless:” Police may have suspect in shooting of Erika Walker

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — 19-year-old Erika Walker was gunned down at a house party near 35th and Auer in early March, and now, police are linking a suspect in an unrelated robbery to Walker’s death.

“She was my everything. That`s my wild card. I loved her,” Michelle Walker says of her young daughter.

Erika Walker

Erika Walker

Erika Walker died as a result of gunshot wounds on March 7th.

“It was the worst day of my life,” Michelle Walker said.

But there is a small glimmer of hope for Michelle Walker and Erika Walker’s other family members. Police have now named 19-year-old Jovan Mull as a suspect in Erika Walker’s death. Michelle Walker says she never heard Mull’s name until the night of her daughter’s death.

“Absolutely not. But I`ll never forget it,” Michelle Walker said.

Erika Walker suffered gunshot wounds to her back and chest.

According to an affidavit, an eyewitness identified Mull as the shooter. Mull hasn’t yet been charged — but Michelle Walker says she believes police have the right person.

“I believe that because there were pictures sent to my phone from young people who were at the party who were afraid to talk to the police, so his picture kept coming up,” Michelle Walker said.

Court documents show that Mull was arrested on March 23rd while driving a stolen car. He was charged with armed robbery, first-degree reckless injury and driving or operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Again — he hasn’t yet been charged in connection with Walker’s death. Police have questioned him about the house party and the shooting, but he denied being involved.

“To me he has the tell-tale signs of someone very sadistic and serial killer-like qualities. It`s just a disgrace and a shame,” Michelle Walker said.

Friends and family members held a vigil for Erika Walker on March 11th — vowing to find whoever killed her. This week’s news of a suspect in the case has Walker’s mother hopeful for justice.

“My daughter’s death was senseless,” Michelle Walker said.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office is expected to review this case in the coming days.

What can be done about the violence? Alderman: “I don’t think we can police our way out of this”

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — It was a very violent Easter weekend in Milwaukee — with seven shootings occurring this weekend — five of them within a two-hour period on Saturday, April 4th. Things didn’t seem to slow down as the work week began. Early Monday morning, April 6th, police were on the scene of a homicide. This, as Milwaukee alderman is working to turn troublemakers into peacemakers.

Shortly after 1:00 a.m. Monday, police were called out to the 2300 block of N. Buffum Street. They say a 26-year-old Milwaukee man was shot while inside a vehicle. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

There is seemingly no easy answer to the problem of violence in Milwaukee, and city leaders expected it would get worse as the weather gets warmer. City leaders are working to prepare programs aimed at combating the violence.

A breakdown of the shooting incidents that occurred this weekend is as follows:

  • 5200 block of N. Green Bay Road: 22-year-old Milwaukee man shot as an argument occurred during a basketball game. The shooter fled the scene. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this incident, and is looking for a yellow Ford Mustang that fled the scene.

  • 104th and Kiehnau: 27-year-old Matthew Andler of Elkhorn shot and killed after police say the victim showed up to purchase drugs and was then shot by the drug dealer during the transaction. Police arrested a 17-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man, and recovered a firearm.

FOX6 News has learned the shooting that occurred near 27th and Capitol, involving a 30-year-old Milwaukee man who was shot while in a vehicle pulling out of a gas station — and the shooting on N. Teutonia Saturday, involving a 32-year-old Milwaukee man shot during a funeral involved the same suspect.

“It’s time to wake up,” Milwaukee Alderman Ashanti Hamilton said.

Many of the shootings that have occurred in recent days have happened in Alderman Hamilton’s district.

“May is supposed to be Violence Prevention Month. Across City Hall, at the Mayor’s Office , many community partners throughout the city — we’ve come together,” Alderman Hamilton said.

Hamilton says there are plans for police and community leaders to meet with those who may be the ones responsible for bringing guns and violence to the streets of Milwaukee — to open up a dialogue. Former gang leaders and former convicts are helping in this effort.

“How is it that we can get them to understand that the person they may be saving is themselves?”

“Getting folks who may be carrying those weapons, the ones that may be purchasing them for other folks, the ones that may have people living in their houses that may have access to those weapons participating in this discussion about — how is it that we can get them to understand that the person they may be saving is themselves? I don’t think we can police our way out of this,” Alderman Hamilton said.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police identified on Monday, April 13th the victims of an incident that involved a crash that preceded a shooting near 48th and Glendale on Sunday. The victims include a two-year-old boy, his 15-year-old brother and a well-known Milwaukee businessman.

Archie Brown

Archie Brown

Officials say their investigation shows 40-year-old Archie Brown was driving a van northbound on N. 48th Street when two-year-old Damani Terry ran into the road.  The van struck the child and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brown, whom witnesses indicate was distraught about hitting the child, stopped and exited the van immediately following the crash and was fatally shot by an unknown suspect. Brown was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say a second victim, 15-year-old Rasheed Chiles was also fatally shot by the suspect. Chiles was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.  Both Terry and Chiles were attending a birthday party at the house near where the incident happened — and the Medical Examiner’s Office says two-year-old Terry and 15-year-old Chiles were brothers.

Autopises on Brown, Terry and Chiles were performed Monday morning.

FOX6 News spoke with a woman who says she’s overwhelmed with emotion because she says she saw the entire incident unfold.

“I saw them alive and then I saw them deceased. How can you get past that? What does it take?” the woman said.

This woman has asked that her identity be protected, because she says she’s in fear for her life. She says she watched helplessly Sunday evening as two-year-old Damani Terry left the nearby birthday party and tried to cross the street to Wahl Park.

“I heard the bullets and I saw him fall. I heard the bullets and I saw him fall. I have been reliving this since I woke up.”

“I`m going ‘the baby, the baby!’ The baby was midway in front of the car. The man couldn`t see him because he was in front of a car. When the man knew he had hit something he got out to see and when he saw it was a baby, he became very distraught,” the woman said.

That tragic event was just the beginning of what the woman witnessed. Archie Brown was shot and killed.

“I heard the bullets and I saw him fall. I heard the bullets and I saw him fall. I have been reliving this since I woke up,” the woman said.

Milwaukee police are working to identify the shooting suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7360.

Convicted: Jury returns guilty verdict for Demario Easley in fatal shooting at US Gas Station

MILWAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) — 25-year-old Demario Easley of Milwaukee has been convicted by a jury on three felony charges in connection with the shooting death of Bryson Brown that occurred at the US Gas Station near Green Bay Avenue and Cornell Street on June 17th, 2014.

Demario Easley

Demario Easley

Easley was found guilty of first degree reckless homicide (use of a dangerous weapon), felon in possession of a firearm and bail jumping. He had previously pleaded not guilty to all three charges.

Easley was arrested in Florida after a warrant was issued for his arrest in Milwaukee County. He was extradited from Miami to Milwaukee.

Police were dispatched to the US Gas Station near Green Bay Avenue and Cornell Street around 1:00 p.m. on June 17th. There, they found Bryson Brown lying near a gas pump with gunshot wounds to his right chest, left side, back and left neck.

Milwaukee Fire Department personnel arrived and pronounced Brown dead at the scene.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy, and determined Brown died as a result of gunshot wounds he suffered.

Bryson Brown

Bryson Brown

Police spoke with a man at the scene on June 17th — and he told police he knows both Easley and Brown. That man was able to positively identify Easley in a photo array as the person who shot and killed Brown.

The man told police he saw Easley with a handgun in his hand — saying he saw Easley shoot Brown before Easley fled the scene in a vehicle.

On June 20th, police spoke with another man — who indicated on June 17th, he was with Easley, whom he described as a friend, and the brother of the initial man with whom police spoke. That man told police Easley was trying to sell “lean” (described as codeine cough syrup) — and had arranged to meet someone at the gas station to sell the “lean.”

At some point while at the gas station, the man told police Bryson Brown approached the vehicle the men were in, and began talking to them. While this was occurring, the man told police Easley was given a handgun — and he then began to shoot the handgun directly at Brown.

The man told police he fled from the vehicle as Easley was shooting, and Easley then fled in the vehicle following the shooting.

Another of the men on scene that day told police he witnessed Easley firing what he described as a semi-automatic handgun at Brown — before fleeing the scene.

Police were able to observe surveillance video from the gas station, and the video was consistent with the witness statements in this case.

At the time of the shooting on June 17th, Easley was out on bail in that separate case filed on April 1st, and was ordered to possess no firearms or controlled substances — and commit no crimes as a condition of his bail.

The criminal complaint filed against Easley also references a conviction for fleeing/eluding an officer — a felony charge. In that case, Easley was sentenced to nine months in the House of Correction, after he pleaded guilty. That case was filed on March 22nd, 2012.

Easley has been remanded into custody pending his sentencing hearing. He’ll be sentenced on June 8th.

Officials say a second victim, 15-year-old Rasheed Chiles was also fatally shot by the suspect. Chiles was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.  Both Terry and Chiles were attending a party at the house near where the incident happened — and the Medical Examiner’s Office says two-year-old Terry and 15-year-old Chiles were brothers.

No one has been arrested.

“I was frankly outraged at what happened. This is, I think, putting Milwaukee on the road to lawlessness.”

Michael Hupy is offering $25,000 to the first person who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the shooter. Hupy is a longtime activist and is deeply involved with the Milwaukee community.

“I was frankly outraged at what happened. This is, I think, putting Milwaukee on the road to lawlessness,” Michael Hupy said.

“Why, Lord? Why my son?” Father of driver killed in shooting after crash says he’s trusting in his faith

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Three people are dead after an incident Sunday, April 12th near 48th and Glendale on Milwaukee’s north side that began with a two-year-old child hit by a van and ended in gunfire. Police on Monday identified the victims in this case — two-year-old Damani Terry, his 15-year-old brother Rasheed Chiles and 40-year-old Archie Brown. We are learning more about Brown, a man many say was murdered while trying to do the right thing after a tragic accident.

Brown was a well-known Milwaukee businessman. Homer Blow, a Milwaukee D.J. and radio talk show host was friends with Brown. When he learned what happened, he raced to the scene.

Those who knew Brown describe him as a successful, caring member of the community with four children of his own. He developed and opened restaurants in the community.

Blow, a friend of Brown’s, raced to the scene Sunday evening in time to see his friend covered with a tarp. Another tarp shielded the toddler who darted into the street in the path of Brown’s van.

“He wasn’t even going but 25, 30 miles-an-hour,” a witness said.

On Blow’s live podcast Monday, he said Brown’s van’s doors were left open, as Brown ran out in horror. Blow was very emotional as he talked about what happened.

“He was saying he was sorry. ‘I didn’t see the baby. I’m sorry. Call 911. I’m sorry. I’m sorry,’ and he was crying.”

“He was saying he was sorry. ‘I didn’t see the baby. I’m sorry. Call 911. I’m sorry. I’m sorry,’ and he was crying,” Blow said.

Blow says that’s when a man related to the toddler came out and told Brown he just signed his death certificate — shooting Brown in the face.

“Just to hear how this coward took my friend’s life in cold blood for doing the right thing…” Blow said.

Blow says Brown never lost sight of helping others when he could. He owned properties, opening doors to those who were homeless, remembering the times he was homeless himself.

Brown’s father, Archie Brown Sr. says he’s relying on faith as he comes to terms with the loss of his son.

“Everything that happens, I say God has a reason for it happening. For whatever reason, God allowed this to take place. He`s the one that knows why. Being angry wouldn’t do any good for me right now. You cry, you’re hurt, you’re disappointed. You say ‘why, Lord? Why my son? I mean, my oldest son — why?” Brown Sr. said.

“He gets out and does the right thing and he loses his life,” Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said Monday.

Mayor Barrett held a news conference Monday afternoon, where he criticized Governor Scott Walker and the state Legislature for passing laws that put more guns on the streets. He is calling for more resources to deal with all the violence in Milwaukee.

“I do want to lock up more people who do get involved in gun fights in parks, in streets, outside taverns because black lives matter,” Mayor Barrett said.

Sheriff David Clarke Jr. issued the following statement in response to Mayor Barrett’s comments:

“Will someone in the mainstream media please do their job and ask Tom Barrett to tell us how many of these criminal homicides involved concealed carry permit holders? And ask for his empirical data to demonstrate his claim that it has led to an increase of guns on the street. His rhetoric today, after yet again another violent weekend in the city of Milwaukee, is nothing more than the liberal anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment talking point memo.

Because Mayor Barrett has no effective response to the continued violence in the city of Milwaukee, he attempts to distract by blaming the gun instead of the behavior, and blaming his political adversaries. The overwhelming majority of law-abiding gun owners throughout the state of Wisconsin do not use them to settle disputes, or take property from people. The Castle Doctrine and CCL were designed to help people protect themselves, especially while Barrett is furloughing Milwaukee police officers.

Tom Barrett’s claim that Milwaukee is a safe city flies in the face of the violence that has gone on unabated for several years. When a man inadvertently strikes a child with his car, stops to render aid, and gets killed for it, there is something horribly wrong. Barrett claimed that this was an assassination. It was not. To assassinate is to kill secretively, especially a politically prominent person; a murder that is premeditated. This was not premeditated, but a senseless murder we see all too often in Milwaukee.”

Senator Nikiya Harris Dodd (D-Milwaukee) represents the area where the three victims were killed.

“Why did this child who was hit by accident all of a sudden turn into a double homicide? For an individual to take matters into their own hands and murder him — it`s sickening. It`s sickening and it needs to stop,” Senator Dodd said.

Dodd and Archie Brown’s father worry drivers who hit someone in the future will be afraid to stick around at the scene.

“If you hit someone, you don`t want to just run, but yet you don`t want to stay and be mobbed either,” Brown Sr. said.

Milwaukee police are working to identify the shooter. Anyone with information is asked to call Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7360.

Milwaukee Attorney Michael Hupy, with the law firm Hupy & Abraham is offering a $25,000 reward in this case.

WEST ALLIS (WITI) — There is chilling new information about a fatal shooting that occurred in West Allis last Wednesday night, April 8th near 57th and National. A 20-year-old woman was shot and left for dead. Her friend was tied up and killed in the back of a car. There are now new clues as to why this may have happened.

It was a late-night scene in West Allis that some will never forget. A woman was shot — seen in surveillance video trying to get help after her friend was killed in an alley. We now know what led up to the bloody nightmare.

“She had a gash up in her left forehead and blood was dripping down her face,” Claudia Derringer, who helped the victim said.

According to an affidavit filed by West Allis police, the woman was going out to dinner with a man — driving in his rented Chevy Tahoe. Along the way, the man got a call and they drove to another man’s home off Appleton Avenue in Milwaukee.

The woman stayed in the car, and about 15 minutes later, the caller came out and pointed a gun with a laser sight on the front toward the woman — making her move to the back of the Tahoe.

Then, another man exited the home alongside the male victim, who was bound by his wrists with a gag in his mouth.

Investigators say the suspects demanded money from the man and the male victim explained he gave them all his money.

Police documents show the four drove around, and ended up behind a Kwik Pantry on National Avenue in West Allis. Then, the man pointed the gun at the woman — asking her to put her hands in front of her head.

A bullet was fired — slicing through both of her wrists and grazing the top of her head.

The two suspects then ran away.

The woman managed to walk to a nearby home — banging on the door for help.

“She said ‘my boyfriend got shot.’ She said ‘he got shot and killed,'” Derringer said.

Police haven’t made any arrests in this case, and they have not formally identified the male victim.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to contact West Allis police.

Chief Flynn: Fatal shooting near Hopkins & Stark sparked by “some kind of stupid fight”

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police say a shooting incident that led to the death of a 17-year-old girl Monday night, April 13th started with an argument between two girls. It’s another shooting death in the city of Milwaukee, and another family is now grieving. Police Chief Ed Flynn says this type of fatality is far too frequent.

The shooting happened near Hopkins and Stark on the city’s north side. The teenage girl, now identified as Shanice McClain, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims — a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Chief Flynn says the shooting came about after two girls got into an argument. He says they each called their boyfriends, who came to the neighborhood with guns and “lit up the neighborhood.”

“The circumstances are clear. It was some kind of stupid fight. It’s a typical phenomenon here. Time, after time, after time, the leading cause of homicidal violence with guns in this city is arguments and fights. Two groups of girls get in a fight, call their boyfriends. Boyfriends come with guns, light up the street corner, and kill an innocent girl who had nothing to do with this asinine dispute. That’s the kind of homicide we’re dealing with,” Chief Flynn said.

Police are now searching for the suspect responsible for the death of a high school student whom a relative says was “doing everything she was supposed to be doing.”

“I heard two little shots, and then like, six big ones. Then I heard slow singing and flower bringing, and that’s not right,” Carlos Dixon said.

McClain’s aunt, Tasha Harbour says the young girl didn’t live in the area where the shooting occurred.

“She was with her cousin. They were visiting somebody in the apartment building. We don’t know who it was as of yet,” Harbour said.

Dixon says with all the recent violence, he doesn’t like what he’s not seeing.

“Police kill an African-American and we, as African-Americans — we protest. Now we have people killing each other — African-Americans within our culture, and where’s…will we march now?” Dixon said.

Anyone with information as to this incident is asked to contact police.
